Cristian Bravo
Cristian was born in Viedma, Patagonia in 1981. Although there were no tango events in his city, his father took him to the house of the only dancer and teacher in the region, where, in a 6’x6’ room, he took his first steps, ganchos and sacadas. He was just ten years old.
As the only representative of his province, he received a scholarship from the National Endowment for the Arts to perfect his tango when he was 18. This award allowed him to settle in Buenos Aires, where he was immediately incorporated into the Tango X 2 Company, of Miguel Angel Zotto.
Over his 31 year tango journey, Cristian has placed and won championships, danced in countless shows, taught tango salon, stage, and master classes all over the world and in prominent schools in Buenos Aires. He is a member of the CID/UNESCO International Dance Council as well as a member of the association of teachers and choreographers of Argentine tango (AMBCTA). Click here for his full resume.
Cristian moved to the United States in 2022, and now lives in Richmond, VA. He is excited to share his passion for his culture through one of the artistic expressions that best represent his country: Argentine Tango.
